Who doesn't like seeing handsome guys? It must be cool, you might not be bored with his cute face. But is it true that handsome guy is the only main criterion that makes a woman make choices to get married?
In fact, there are other things that women like from men more than just look. Psychologist Daniel Farrelly from the University of Worcester tried to analyze the tendency of 200 women to choose men. Researchers showed the women a pair of male photos.
Each pair consists of a photo of a handsome man (the A) and not handsome (the B). Each photo is given a scenario to show what the A and B men are like. It was explained that there is an altruistic attitude and selfish attitude shown by A and B in a problem.
After reading the scenario of the male characters in the photo, women are asked to choose men who they think can be long-term love relationships.
Apparently, men who have altruistic attitudes (have a sense of empathy, want to help others, and be kind) are preferred by women. Compared to his handsome face, women prefer the character of a good man.
So, apparently physical attraction is not an important point for women if they are asked to choose a man to be a partner. Handsome man but 'no heart', will not be chosen by women.
